Wills and Estates
Sensible and effective financial planning extends beyond managing your wealth while you are alive. It includes making sure you have appropriate arrangements in place to take care of your family and other loved ones when you die.
A Will is possibly the most important document you will ever prepare. Neglecting to make a Will may result in an unknown official distributing your assets in a way that would be disagreeable to you, and can result in heavy and needless taxation of your Estate.
It is also important to ensure that you continue to review your Will to reflect your current domestic and financial situations, and to take into account any changes in tax, probate or other laws.
To this end, your Will should be reviewed at least every five years. Baldwins has acted for a number of complex deceased estates, as well as handling inheritance claims and disputes, and is active in estate planning and re-arranging, and can assist with the preparation of your Will.
